Ohio Whitetail Deer Hunting
Our whitetail deer archery hunts begin the last couple of weeks in October and run through November (See Dates below)
At times, we also have late season packages available and a limited amount of gun and muzzleloader openings. Special Hunt packages can be arranged by contacting us.
This hunt is for the serious hunter who does not mind putting the time in at the tree stand for a possible opportunity to take a trophy buck. Our team works hard to prepare and maintain our properties so that you can come here to hunt hard and have fun.
We hunt 100% fair chase, 100% wild deer.
Deer Hunting Properties
Flint Ridge Outfitters is located in East Central Ohio, approximately 45 minutes east of Columbus, OH. We have a whitetail deer hunting property in Licking and Muskingum counties. These counties have produced the bulk of the trophy deer taken here in Ohio.
The terrain on our properties can be anything from gently rolling land to steep ridges and valleys. Some farms are quite agriculturally developed and some are heavily wooded. Most timber properties have food plots of corn, soybean or alfalfa to concentrate the deer and keep them happy on our farms. Our farms range in size from 40 acres to 600 acres. All farms are privately owned, and managed by Flint Ridge Outfitters.
Most of our stands are between 18 to 22 feet high, depending on terrain. The stands are set in travel routes, food areas, and funnel-type areas. We try to keep you comfortable for those all-day sits during the rut. We hang stands and put up ground blinds in August so the properties are not disturbed closer to season.
Our Hunting Packages
Our hunts are generally scheduled with five full days of hunting. Hunters arrive after 2 PM the day before the first hunt day, and departure is the morning after the last hunt day. Special Hunt packages and flexible arrival/departure dates can be arranged by contacting us.
Sleeping arrangements in our hunting lodge will be provided, and we will provide you with continental breakfast, bagged lunches, and family style home made dinners. Transportation to and from hunting areas is included.
Licenses, tags, and meat processing are not included.

Additional Important Information
- Our hunts are scheduled on a first come, first served basis. We offer returning hunters the first chance to re-book before opening spots to the public. A 50% non-refundable deposit is due at booking, and the remainder is due by August 1st of that year. At this time, all payments must be paid via check or money order, made out to:

- Not included in the booking fee:
- Hunting license: A non-resident hunting license costs $125 and has to be over the counter, no draw.
- Tags: A deer tag is $25

- Meat processing
- Ohio requires all first time hunters to complete a hunter’s safety course to purchase an Ohio license.
- Hunters will need proof of completing a hunter’s safety course or a previously used hunting license with a government-issued identification to purchase your Ohio hunting permit.
- Mechanical broad heads are permitted.
- We take safety seriously. Safety belts are REQUIRED for tree stand hunting, no homemade belts will be permitted. If you need a safety belt, we can provide you with one. Hunters found without a safety belt, or are unwilling to wear one will be asked to leave.
- We ask hunters to come to their hunt prepared. This means practicing regularly before the hunt. We have a 60 yard archery range available for practice.
- Flint Ridge Outfitters has a seasoned staff who can help repair bows in the event of malfunction. We have the knowledge and skills required and access to the tools necessary to tend to almost any issue.
